Seamless Floor, Drainage and Kerbs Creates Hygienic Production Line For Major Food Facility

Kerbs and drains installed for a hygienic floor

UltraSyntec was more than happy to be involved with the new production line for a major pork processing facility in East Yorkshire.

The company’s rapid growth meant that they had to take urgent steps just to keep up with the ever-growing capacity. A brand-new line to process the meat, along with 16 new jobs was quite a challenge. Especially when the company had only been given 4 months in which to be fully operational.

The scope of works involved for the Ultra team was to install a 25-meter length stainless steel drain, along with 250mm high stainless-steel kerbs.

To maintain hygiene the floor needed to withstand daily cleaning

The entire floor was laid in a 9mm heavy duty polyurethane screed, to create a seamless hygienic floor, which could be steam cleaned daily.

Over 21 years working in the food and beverage industry helped with the overall planning. UltraSyntec were able to give accurate timescales for each part of the process. Saving the client precious production time.

The client was very happy with the installation and the production line managed to open 6 days ahead of schedule. This was financially beneficial to the client.
