TURBO PRECISION ENGENEERING – HUDDERSFIELD WEST YORKSHIRE

The Huddersfield based firm which makes parts for the automotive industry needed a solution for their production area which was in real need of uplift. The company uses a lot of CNC machines which regularly spill out oil on to the floor, which is then transferred under foot across the entire work area.

The first task was to remove the oil and dirt that had built up over a number of years. To do this we used a “Captive Shot Blasting Machiene”around the main areas and a 3 phase diamond grinding machine in and around the CNC machines. A hand held grinding tool was used to get under all low reaching areas.

This process took the best part of two days before an oil retardant primer was used to make sure no oil could later escape out of the concrete once the resin had been applied. Two coats of high build epoxy was applied in light green.

They were very impressed with not just the floor finish but the turnaround in which it was completed. The company later invested in a floor scrubber so they could start a proper cleaning regime.
