All Routes Point To Saint Gobain

Saint Gobain Safety Yellow warehouse floor marking

The colossal sized Saint Gobain glass factory at Eggborough East Yorkshire has just undergone a brand-new pedestrian walkway complete with zebra crossings all installed by Ultrasyntec Ltd.

The intention of the warehouse floor marking, using resin paints, was to provide a safe pedestrian walkway within the glass factory.

All 1.4 kilometres had to be marked out at intervals dependent on production.

Diamond grinders were used to ‘key’ the concrete prior to resin application.

Two coats of high build epoxy paint were applied along with a scatter of kiln-dried silica sand to provide a slip-resistant surface.

Saint Gobain chose different colours for highlighting crossed areas of the factory, blue for Low Risk (No ear defenders required), red for High Risk (All PPE equipment necessary).

The works were completed in two weeks including weekends.
